My daughter loves to sing The Itsy Bitsy Spider. We sing it in the car, at the dinner table, at bedtime and pretty much anywhere else she feels deserves the sweet melodic tune. Recently, after singing the song over 15 times at one sitting, I decided to change it up.http://www.youngreadingreadiness.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/img_2869.trim_.mov
“Spider, Spider, where’s it going to drop?”
Then my daughter will label what the “spider” dropped on. Usually I use it for K to say her name or to say the name of those around her or other items. It is a great way to have your toddler label the items around them!
You could even have an alphabet laid out where the child can “drop” on a letter and say the name of the letter, the sound it makes or a word that starts or ends with the letter. Mix it up, make it fun!
